About Us
Friendship, Education, Compassion, Service
Our Woman’s Club (WCHV), rich in history, established roots here in Hilton Village in 1918. We are part of the Virginia GFWC Tidewater District, GFWC Virginia and the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs www.gfwc.org . We are dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
As a philanthropic organization, we are a non-profit 501c4, with proceeds generously awarded to various charities supporting our neighbors. We are apolitical and seek causes and common interests that bring us together while benefiting the many different people within our community.
We are dedicated volunteers working to better the lives of our neighbors by making our area beautiful and safer. We are mothers and daughters, business and community leaders, and women of diverse interests, talents and backgrounds united by a dedication to community improvement through volunteer service.
WCHV’s work includes focusing the many service programs to include Arts and Culture, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Environment, Education and Libraries, and Health and Wellness. Our fundraising efforts allow us to contribute to local organizations as well as make in kind donations to 14 or more efforts.
